  1. And, I would add, don't dwell on it. I watched my mother-in-law with awe for years. She lived with severe physical pain (resulting from a car accident) most of her adult life, but told stories and laughed and loved her pets more than most people ever think of doing.

    1. And that is how to survive pain. As you know, your mother-in-law had strength.

      Sometimes the greatest pain is that within our hearts too. Feeling and growing makes us that much stronger.

  2. Great post, Karlene. I've also read many times that bravery is not an absence of fear, but rather overcoming that fear.
